Putting diving – and diving exploration – into the driving seat, the ADEX2018 TeKDive Conference (Suntec City, Singapore from 6-8 April) travels beyond the mermaid zone to see how a small handful of dedicated pioneers are combining science and technology to, ‘boldly go where no one has gone before’, in their ongoing quest for knowledge and a better understanding of the world’s oceans and waterways.
Out at the cutting edge of underwater conservation and adventure, the TeKDive Conference programme features presentations by some of modern diving’s most illustrious figures, divers whose often nail-biting-edge-of-the-seat exploits range from monitoring global climate change from beneath the arctic ice packs, to NASA’s Extreme Environment Mission Operations (NEEMO) project – in which astronauts and scientists spend weeks living in an underwater habitat as a prelude to future inter-planetary exploration – as well as talks on mysterious wrecks, forbidding caves, marine biodiversity … and how to take your diving to the next level of this ‘Brave New World’.
An opportunity to listen to, talk with, and learn from some of modern diving’s leading figures, the ADEX2018 TeKDive Conference ( https://www.adex.asia/) is a must-attend component of what has now become one of the world’s great diving events.
